Child of the Wandering

Child of the wandering,

sweet summer left the past.

Enchanted.

His dazzling eye,

Sun.

On the unresting sea.

Twilight veils,

where the Siren sings.

Sunless.

Through the deep caves,

Wrecked.

The irised ceiling rent.

Where the cold sea-maids rise,

to shut thee from heaven.

Sorrow.

Sweet child cast from her lap,

Forlorn.

I mourn – in tears.
